Style of Painting
“I usually put paint to canvas. Meaning I don’t pre-draw, trace, or use a projection style. For me, and how I think and enjoy painting, it is brush, paint, and hit the canvas. Sometimes, and probably more often than not, I don’t even have a plan. Once I start, I find a direction or path that works best for me.
If it’s a face, I have stopped and might sketch some to get a balance, etc. But most of the time—or I should say almost always—the fun for me is paint to canvas.”
